li li libidinality
I was browsing a secondhand bookstore for slightly sensual images - something to use as reference for Hebe he bebe hebebe - when I came across a series of photographs. I picked a few shapes intuitively; they seemed to speak some kind of whimsical, garland-like visual language that felt right.
Back home, I dropped three of the photos onto my drawing table, and by pure chance, they fell into a ready-made composition. As I glued them down, I ignored the paper’s physical limits—it curled up in protest, turning into an oddly elegant, guirlandesque little sculpture. I had no idea how to display something so unstable, so I just photographed it and shifted the colors into this burlesque-punky 00’s extravaganza.
