Three Dreams in a Desert

Loosely based on the short story "Three Dreams in a Dessert" by Olive Schreiner, I made this drawing on a hot day seated in the shades of Barranco del Cavadero, Fuerteventura. My sweat mixed with the marker on the flimsy paper of my blindingly shiny sketchbook. Later, in the shaded protection of a dark and concrete house, I made it into a digital collage.
