The advertisement on the back merged with the droodle and I kept it in a protective ziplock bag. The complete package got scanned into a high res digital assemblage. Actually I think the paper itself is weirdly folded at some random spot (see the line around the “monsters” neck?) but I cannot know for sure, because only the inverted scan remains, and the original plus the original scan got lost. The operation took months, as I had limited power, and only worked during nighttime, laying belly down in my small desert tent. This was somewhere 2021. In 2023 I made a fresco based on the drawing, including materials such as nail polish and tiny fragments of seashells to colorize the image. Today, 2025, i combined line and color and some whimsical poetry to celebrate the aquatic wonders of this planet. I made an intuitive selection of shapes that somehow spoke a guirlandesque language I found fitting. When back home I dropped a selection of 3 photographs on my drawing table and in un coup de dés of chance they fell right in composition. When gluing them in place, I neglected the material reality of the paper and it resistantly curled up into an elegant and fitting guirlandesque scultpure. Since I had no idea how to ever present the unstable piece, I took a photo and color-shifted it into this series of burlesque punk slash 00’s extravaganza. The tap had a 8L water bottle at the bottom of the car, placed in a small closet next to the gas bomb which was thought to be a good place, as it would keep the water cool. Inside the 8L bottle a small electric water pump was placed. The pump was both connected to the car battery and to the small tube that was the head of Nessie. Nessie was guided up to the counter and kept in place by a green metal wire. When pressing a button that wakened the system, Nessie puked water into a glass bowl. It’s pressure was very low, so the puke was more of a dripping. But it was running.
